The making of King Hauler... Zax13's King Hauler
This is the very first scale RC truck that came out for Tamiya 1/14 line of scale trucks. Never tried to built one so decided to have a go from scratch...

As usual, the lay out for Tamiya packaging outside and inside is undoubtly neat and stunning...

Start off with building the servo saver for the steering and the gear change servos.

Assembling the ladder frame... Most of the screws that are used to assemble everything together are phillip head self tapping screws. So it is actually quite stressing on the hand. Like me I use a motorized screw driver but be very careful as it could strip if over torque.

The steering and the gear change servo installed...

Installing the leaf springs...

The rear axle differentials...

Assembling the 6 shocks...

Putting the rear axle together

Front steering & leaf spring assembly

Frame all done up...

Very tempting to get a semi.
Very nice build tread. The semi truck fleet is growing.

Next is the transmission

This will be the sliding fork.

All tucked in and installed in the enclosure.

Mud flaps

Trailer hook

All install on the main frame including the chrome bits.

The battery bay is fitted in including the cabin floor.

First time fitted with shoes...

All the chrome bits prepared waiting to be mated with the body while painting is on going...
