LHS facing extinction?

In these few days, as a hobbyist, i felt sad and depressed due to some happenings in our LHS scene.

As i was trying to do some shopping for paints for my defender shell, i went to some hobby shops, and found they have folded their business. One at Vivio, and another at Kovan mall. These were hobby chains, and i know several other outlets are not doing any better, or may had even closed down already. Those taking over are those typical food or fashion outlets which is totally uncool or boring!!!

Tho im not an economist or similar, i can predit those remaining old skool hobby shops like orchard store, mogan, etc will face the same music in another few years if the trend is continuing... reason maybe lack of interest in model building, or purchase online which is cheaper...

So, for those fellow scale model builders in here... if u still wanna catch a glimpse of whats left, better hurry to orchard or katong shopping complex before they turned into another useless souvenior or bra shop!!!!
