You could use something like this (http://diyrc.com/picaxe-slowdown.htm) to make the servo rotate smoother.

First try successful... ROBO CowBoy!
but need more tweaking ... deciding if the steering arm should be the left/right...
and the body will move if not belted..properly... good for scale?

So happy my mini hinges arrived... From first glance it's the same size as the door hinges on the defender 110 side doors!
Will be back home tonight to compare the size!

I will do another 2 defender 110 and one of which will have full doors mods!

Finally decide on the hinge to use, had to do some modification....
Will need to select the hatch and door details later...
For now this would be the door hinge... Quit good... Restricted to 95 degrees...

Re: Pininy Defender 110 camel trophy
I've learnt something new from the seller of this super glue...
keep both side of the surface clean, and sand off any glued areas if you made a mistake.. then test fit before you apply the glue.
You only need to apply the super glue to one surface - ONLY 1 Surface.... NOT BOTH..
then fit them together and HOLD - i would count to 10 and it's sticks... even for rubber to rubber!
Fantastic!!!

Re: Pininy Defender 110 camel trophy
it's very strong after 24hrs.. the glue is fully cured. going to use this as spare.. to hook on the body..
unless you want to use it ...then you need to re-inforce...
if you want to strengthen further, i would get a hollow tubbing(PVC/metal) and make a short collar and wrap it around it glue it...
externally and since behind is not seen, you can go further to do a inner one.. too kiasu lol!
for crawling is fine, not for speed...haha

Even when compress the glue holds the rubber/tyre in check! After 24 hours cure!
The ZAP CA just won't cut it! But the ok 3 second super glue can!

Got them locally on carousell? They are on eBay too! These guys are 8" which make it 1/8 scale... I think the defender with these are just nice!

Re: Pininy Defender 110 camel trophy
Due to some reason, the HK seller did not send the missing, broken or defects parts for my current chassis. Since August and now under PayPal dispute... Since August I send him the list of issues, he said ordered, but every time a different date, very dishonest...
So had to get the rc4wd Gelande II, and I have to say they are impressive.. Here is it!
