Any idea on DIG UNIT Empty Any idea on DIG UNIT

Post by Dieselx Fri 25 May 2012 - 11:56

Hi guys..

Been working on and off on ideas of locking up the rear transmission for DIG.

I know I can buy DIG, but I'd like to build a simple DIY DIG if possible, for CC-01.

Its going to be a project and hopefully I dont wish to cut up the CC01 just to implement this DIG.

Anyone with nice ideas I can start working towards it ?

you can build a dig without hacking up the cc01..

i do not have a cc01, but understand that the rear wheels are powered by a drive shaft...

you can build the dig "into" the drive shaft... you would need some couplings, access to a lathe would be nice... else, would need to look a few couplings, and rods that fit nicely..

if i got time, will try to draw out a sketch to show...
is there space on the rear axle to mount a servo without getting in the way?

might need to drill a hole on the rear of the interior floor pan though...
it would be quite some work... wanted to build one last year... but didnt have the time and effort to spare.... so end up just bought the HR digs for my honcho and ax10... Smile

build build build!
