Difference between these two Esc Empty Difference between these two Esc

Post by wyetuck88 Thu 9 Aug 2012 - 21:27

Hi guys, Through your recommendations I found these two esc, I am wondering about the difference between these two models. If I am right, the only difference for vsc 240A is FORWARD at 240A and Reverse at 160A. For the 320A model forward is 320A and reverse is 240A.

In layman term, the 320A model will have faster forward and reverse speed. Am I right? Very Happy

Either will work fine in a trailing truck, the performance of your truck will be the same. A standard RS540 motor as found in Tamiya kits (a 27T motor) has a stall current of 70 Ampere -- when you use higher turns like 45T the current will be even less.

So the choice boils down to money, availability, potential issues and size -- the 240A ESC is quite a bit smaller!

Master Liew is running the 240A in his TF2, and I think Bro Boolean has the 320A. I have the 240A on order but it has not arrived yet, so no hands on experience.

Thanks Laneboysrc, thats interesting!!! I didnt know the higher turn a motor has the lesser amp it will draw. so a higher turn motor=longer batt life? Am I right?
space is no problem on my mess tin truck, I want it to go a bit faster, the heavy weight need some power to get it moving.

Heavy weight will need a slower motor, that means, higher turn motor....
High turn motor has higher torque and draws lesser current.

Faster motor will have lesser torque... Unless you are talking about puller motors...
