The trail trucks you saw that can go into the water , most of them have done waterproofing.
Normal servo are not waterproof, otherwise state so.
Since you have strip the servo, you should see a small electronic circuit board and a motor inside it.
You can use neutral cure silicone to cover up the board. As for the front servo gearbox, try to stuff grease inside. And put a O ring in between the servo horn and the servo gear head.

Silicone the pcb would be best, but if lazy like me, just silicone the joints / seams of the servo..and grease the output shaft...

Hmm, oh ya... you in pcb line.... Should have access to the compound that is used to insulate the board?... Forgot what's that called...

You can also try Fitec Digital hitorque 21kg waterproof servo. I m using it on my Wraith it really waterproof proven. As price wise it the same as traxxass 2075 but traxxass is plastic n not digital.

Thanks everyone.

RTECH mention the O Ring, but where can I find it ? The gap between the horn looks very small.

That pcb coating require heat cure, not good for general/common pcb.

I'm use wax to coat the pcb & cable, only the shaft not secure, I just stuff more grease, see how on next trail.

The O ring is from the shock seal. The O ring is compressable . Compressing it , form a seal in between the horn and the gear head.

Thanks bros for the many advice.

Just ordered from hobby king. Hope these work as claimed:

For some reason my Traxxas 2075 turned haywire.

Btw should I use metal servo horn on such servo with my Tundra?

Ya, last time use the 8A bec from jet hobby, $35... Burnout after few months....
Now all my trucks using cheap 2S-8S 5A bec from ebay.... So far so good....

I think your bec too solid liao.... Keep supplying when the servo stuck...
If the servo board Ok, try soldering the wires... Or use the spoilt servo for other projects....

The wires are still intact only insulation burn. And the white wire have a ring dunno where it connect, strange.... As for the servo PCB, hmm... there might be a problem reusing coz hv to remove the silicon and the silcon is quite strong.
Dun feel like using BEC any more. RX box also very small hard to squeeze in.
Hobbyking dun hv HV servo ley. No

Waterproof servo 3044_b
Xq-power stated splash proof . There are O rings all round, even the screws. Maybe they haven't test dipping the servo in water.

Waterproof servo Moz-screenshotWaterproof servo BMS-620
The BMS-620 looks exactly like Axial AS-2 servo but this one is waterproof.
The casing have rubber fittings. But the AS-2 have none.
Dun have the explode view, not sure whether the output shaft have internal O rings.
Plastic gears inside. AS-2 metal gears, maybe can swop.
Review no good , maybe not for bashing use.

i only opened the first bms620mg the i bought... the rest of the 620mg and 620, i only greased the output shafts...

hmm... that time when i opened, i remember there was a thin rubber gasket in between the rear casing cover, other than that, i didn't really check for other O rings at the other locations...

when i closed it back, i was worried that i didn't put the rubber gasket properly, so i just silicone in between the gaps where the casing closes... kiasu ma... Very Happy

that is the first bms620mg that i bought for my honcho... till now, the servo is still working great... swam, mudded, etc.... bms620mg gets my vote! Very Happy

Strange?!? The 646WP is "standard size", exactly like the stock Honcho. Note that the servo mounts on the plate of the Honcho are adjustable.

The horn will indeed not fit. Hitec is a bit of an odd-ball and uses 24 splines on the output shaft. Bluebird uses 25 splines, as does the Axial AS-2, Futaba, Tamiya, Ace RC, and TowerPro.
JR, KO, Sanwa, Acoms, Feetech use 23 spline.

You should be able to use one of the horn that came with the Hitec servo, possibly you will have to cut one arm off the horn.

hi boolean,

It can fit in that I can mount it and screw it in, but the horn will not clear the batt mount bar tht is directly above it. i.e. servo ht is a bit too tall. If I remove that bar, then the batt mount will only sit on 2 screws side by side, ie. become like seesaw
