[PHOTOS] Renault 5 Turbo at Segar 2015-12-06

Patrick and I had our Rally cars out today in Segar. I finally got the chance to make photos of the Renault 5 Turbo that I purchased last Christmas, started in February and finally finished in October. No exactly a quick build

The 1:12 body shell is pretty special as it is a re-release of Kit no 26 of Tamiya, i.e. very early. It is the brother of the Mk1 Golf I've built a while ago. It has a hard plastic front bumper that mounts onto the Lexan shell. The driver figure comes with the kit but can not be mounted onto the stock M05 chassis. I 3D printed a custom support for it. I exchanged the rear arms for TL01/FF02 arms to make the wheels sit in line with the wide rear arches of the body -- the default M05 stance is too narrow and looks silly.
The car is (of course  ) fully lit up, with hand crafted light buckets in the rear and 3D printed ones in the front.
