I would recommend painting the light buckets silver on the inside. I did that to ours and it looks so much better than leaving them black. Fiddly job though...

Looking forward to see this truck at a trail soon!

Thanks. I was wondering too why the light buckets is black and do not have the reflective plate. Was thinking of putting foil in the bucket to make the light reflect out... hmm just a wild idea. I will use your suggestion. Cos if I'm able to make the foil it will cover over the silver color. Win win situation. Thanks Very Happy

Indeed Axial cheap-ed out on this one. Seeing the awesome, shiny chrome inside the light buckets that come with the Defender body made me weep Sad

Sounds like a good plan! I think the biggest difficulty will be getting the foil around the "posts" where the lens sits in. Eager to see the finished result!

laneboysrc, I tried the foil thingy... bloody hard to get it in...so abandon that Idea. I got no patient to slowly stick the foil in. Think our Dingo Kit (I check mine twice) do not come with the clear plastic cover so see the light not so nice.

Just for fun... can I bring up the rear when we go night trail?

My humble cheap roof rack. Hope can take a tumble or two. Very rough build. Need to get more spray paint.

Try to Get some aluminum foil tape. Draw a circle, cut out the circle, make a cut from the outside of the circle to the centre of the circle. There u got a cone shape for ur lights.
Fastest way spray it sliver. Smile

same esc that i ordered sometime back... Smile

updated the waterproofing thread...

in short, you can still use neutral cure silicone, to cover the whole PCB, squeeze under the heat sink... or use dielectric spray varnish...

the spray is thin... and you can still cover back the ESC nicely like the above pics... Smile

Bro wyetuck88, the light holder is small and very shallow. My hand is big. I really cant do wonders like what you did on your build. I'll take the esay way out and get the silver paint job. Smile

Any tip on how you guys stick your side mirror, snorkel and door handle? I use UHU glue as I do not want to break anything in the event of a roll over. They will just break loose from their mounting but this pose a problem, cos they break loose easily. Mirror i break loose 3 times, snorkel 2 times, door handle 3 times... ahh am I that clumsy? I think so. Anyway my D110 is alive! Was having Driver induction course till late 2am. Very Happy Driving over the Kicthen kerb the balcony kerb... Laughing Need to put in the light if I have time. It's not finnish yet but I'm able to join the Landy's outing cheers

If you have some spray left you can spray a bit into an empty plastic container and then brush it on. Not ideal but worked for me before...

The spray paint is very thin. Need a few layer to cover. Will try to mix some paint and see how (I'm a lousy painter) after the Landy outing. Cos still got lots of things to add on. Bro boolean21 DIY jerry can... will be a nice additional to other thigs like spade, high lift jack and so on. Well it's a lesson learn. Fix up everything you need than paint it up and not the other way. Smile . Anyway thanks for the info.

Bro, screw the mirrors and snorkel... Razz
Put a screw from inside... It will secure it well and not drop in the trails.

For light buckets and handles, can use UHU, will be strong when totally dried... Mine passed thru mud and water without problems.

OK, like that I need to get small self tapping screw. The extra light buckets that I bought from Axial says " screw not provided" Evil or Very Mad

I bought some lights set from Axial. It does not come with screw. The instructions says not provided. Lights mounted up. I was in Kelantan lane sometime back and bought some extra M3 screw and nut.(for whatever reason I dun noe y). So I used those extra screw. Now see if can mount up the LED for the Landy trail.
