33cm tall 53.5cm long and 23.5cm wide. whats the measurement or your D90 defender?

The defender plastic body meadures around 41cm long x 21cm wide.

Think still ok la... Cos your body width close to ours, when lined up, should look fine.
No worries about it .

Its been a while since the last update.

Done nothing much but trying to make an interior for the series II




went back to the drawing board and decided to go the leaf spring route.



Only did the front, the rear is coming soon.

The ride height is off, axial length is off. As the tires are half outside the wing, there is nothing much I can do. If I mount the ride height low, every obstacles is going to cause the tires to rub against the wing. I havent seen any Series II with fenders yet so I cant put fenders on the body. Actually There wasnt any scale to begin with, The whole body is based on this picture I found online lol.

should Have based on a series II blueprint. But Nvm, hey first attempt so lesson learned.

I am too lazy to build up the transfer gear, so planning to put a axial transmission
gear and call it done.

nah its the machine that do all the bending. I only do the dimension and cutting only.

I think you shouldn't worry too much about exact scale appearance regarding tire clearance etc. As you said if you make it exactly look scale, it will not work well on trails. Nature is not 1:10 in most places

some update.

mounted the motor and transfer gear, so the chassis is fully functional as of now.




used a axial transmission for the transfer gear...I am too lazy to built one from scratch

I cut my square rod using a angle grinder . I drew a line through the centre of the rod for guiding my cut. You can use a jig saw or a hacksaw (but it will be a bit slower). Hope it helps!

Been working on the body lately, the chassis is completed, now left welding up a few
more small bits and adding details to the body. Hopefully I am able to join you guys next week.

Interior, The welds are fulgy, but I think it ok cause no one will want to look inside.
mount my servo behind the dash o I have Working steering, the long threaded rod is for the steering wheel.

Landy is almost done waiting for my battries and my esc and its ready to roll ...now need a coat of paint and some more details to add in.
fuel tank cap, doors and door handles to be cut out, amber lights, reverse lights, inner fenders, rear bumper, and lots more.
