[DIY] poor man's waterproof ESC and BEC

Post by boolean21 on Tue Oct 04, 2011 8:33 pm

Got 2 sets of micro esc for ebay... Around S$30 each.... 320A... With built in 3A BEC
Also bought a few 5A BEC from ebay... less than S$10 each..

As per what I did for the axial ae1 esc on my honcho, I used neutral cure silicone to waterproof the ESC and BEC... Smile

Didnt spray on the heat sinks... Only sprayed on the transistors and pcb... Very Happy
Crawler ESC unlikely to get very hot... Crawlers are slow and consume little current... Less current means less heat.... Smile

Havent try these 2 esc, but some of the guys tested the varnish as well as this model of esc.... Smile

If its for pcb usage, then should be fine...
