If your motor is those open end type, remove the carbon brush, unscrew the end bell from the motor can. Take out the rotor and spray contact cleaner on both the end bell ,can and rotor.
Use autosol to polish the rotor commutator. Oil the bearings and assemble back everything.

That's why i recomand unservicable motor for trailing.
For my slivercan motor, i tape up all the ventilation holes. For the end , i use the rubber dust cover last time from my vintage buggy.
Afraid of motor heatup? Nar, the motor is "water cooled" when we go trailing.

can!! then master rtech will ask you to go back to step 1 below when cleaning...
and stand by motor during the next trail!
Step 1: If your motor is those open end type, remove the carbon brush, unscrew the end bell from the motor can. Take out the rotor and spray contact cleaner on both the end bell ,can and rotor.
Use autosol to polish the rotor commutator. Oil the bearings and assemble back everything.

The speed of our truck is not fast enuff to make our motor hot. Even if the ventilation holes are covered, the metal casing of the motor will still be able to dissipate heat.
You see our lipo can last for hours, meaning that the motor consume little power. Less power means less energy use. Less energy use equal less heat produce.
