Is HL having sale? The sudden surge by Sgcrwalers tankies might have push the price up. Think HL is going to CATB COE.  you guys are just too fast for me to follow...

Boo has been scratching from the tank itch for quite awhile.   Babyboy choose your main battle tank. 2a6 or ztx99!  

converted the airsoft tank to IR, while keeping the airsoft function....

not a good write up though... will do a step by step if required... but quite a simple mod...

opened up the tank... only 8 screws below...





this is the control unit.....
just need to make a 5pin cable, 3pins for the heng long IR receiver, and 2pins for the IR emitter....





drill a hole big enough for the IR emitter and the 3pin servo connector for the IR Receiver to pass through....






as it always pains me to drill holes on any visible parts of any RC vehicle.... i chose to run the IR emitter cable exposed.... through the hatch.... will paint the cable camo green when i get hold of some brush on camo green paint....




used some black colored blu-tack to hold the IR emitter in place....



next up, will be making a simple holder to hold the IR Receiver in place...

metal tracks and metal wheels...



miscellaneous parts for the leopard...




and a visaton FRS8 3" speaker for the long term plan....




test fitted in the Tiger 1 tank... seems to fit in well and without issues... just nice.... but will be using the FRS7 2.5" speaker for the Tiger...



the FRS8 fits into the leopard with still lots of space around... might be able to house a 4inch speaker in the leopard...



will find some time to fix up the leopard tracks and gearbox soon!

Should be leaving it like that..... the hull already acts as an enclosure for the speaker...

Speakers have to get 4ohms one har...

4ohms will sound better.... 8ohm usually sounds "sharper"...

 Add another speaker for stereo sound ! And dun forget the subwoofer for explosion sound.
