[DIY] High Clearance links for AX10 using threaded rods
The front lower links always get in the way when I do a full steer... Tyres always rub on the links....
I didnt want to cut the chassis plate and move the lower links inwards, so I DIY a pair of high clearance links...
Material used is 4mm stainless steel threaded rods ($5 for a long length) and traxxas revo rod ends (large)...
Here's some pics....

Ya, whole rod is threaded... After test run, will sleeve it....chiatw73 wrote:the whole rod is threaded? how did u bend it? by heating?
No heating... I just clamp it and bend the rod with my hands... Not too difficult...

hi bro,ShaiAX55 wrote:Bro,clearance too high wont it have impact on ur drive shaft? Anyway great DIY stuffs.
no change in the drive angle... just that the links wont get in the way of the tyres.... now the shocks get in the way.... but steering angle should be enough liao...
but now, the drive shaft will be the first to hit the rock.....
have to test it out first.... should be ok i think...
else i just need to fine tune the bends... maybe do something like my venom creepers' links... the links are nice, doesn't get in the way of the tyres...
