My tank ! Already modded for 360degree turret and enlarged idler wheel.
And after 4 hours today, I did one track with friction pads. Hopefully it can now jump on command.

Yea, masking tape. I choose one that has the threads running parallel to the tape so it's stronger, some have it crossways. The tape isn't very tough, plan to get some 3M anti slip tape for more friction and durability.

With another 2hours of trimming and kiwi on that track, it looks more scale now.

Has anyone changed the Motors on your tanks for faster speeds ?
I might be going down to Sim Lim Tower Continental Electronics to recce for motors, specifically Mabuchi RS380SH. Or any other >20000rpm 380size motors

If they don't have it, I might just upgrade the whole thing to a Brushless system. with 2.4Ghz radio.

iirc motors are not really cheap in SLT...you might get better luck on ebay!
also why do you need such fast motors?

I want scale 72km/h for the tank amd tere isn't much torque when it's on grass. I'm thinking of overhauling the entire tank to dedicated 2.4ghz, only thing I'll be forgoing is the IR battle system and tank recoil. Perhaps have rotating lights from the original motor output when hit by IR instead of the tank shuffling.
