scx10 deadbolt
Hi guys.. just wondering if anyone has got the deadbolt scx10 or have any info why it is so cheap as compared to the normal scx10s? And can it perform as well as the other versions? Thanks

Re: scx10 deadbolt
Hi,
I'm a newbie here and recently got an SCX10 Deadbolt. Don't see anyone in SG Crawlers using the SCX10 Deadbolt that's why probably no response to your thread since June.
In any case, there are at least 2 SCX10 Deadbolt's here in SG, me and my bro. Currently modding and have yet to baptise it in mud and water yet. Both of us got it because it is the cheapest SCX10 RTR available from Axial. For the few months that I have been running it, so far it is as good as any other SCX10 model. There are some slight differences though.
1. Different ESC - The Deadbolt is using a newer but cheaper ESC. It is waterproof but has limited programming capabilities.
2. Body Shell - The body shell is quite basic and is not "Licensed" from brand names like Jeep, Falken etc. So this probably reduces the cost of this model.
3. Wheel - The default wheel is a plastic non-beadlock wheel with glued on tires.
So far we are loving it. Here is a pic of the current state of the my Deadbolt.

SCX10 is the basic chassis with different wheelbase and body. Join the fun this Sunday.
