Front engine MST CMX
Hi all!
I bought an mst cmx kit just last week from eBay after much pondering. Once payment is made, it took only 3 days to ship! I was impressed by the plastic quality while building it, I think it's better then the sawback IMO.
I shall skip the usual building process which you can find through Google-ing it. I did a feel mods here as follows.
Firstly I shifted motor to the front, it's just for cosmetic purposes, I prefer it that way, there are not really any benefits in doing so.
Basically I just mount the motor on the front and drill two holes ; one on the chassis and the other on the shock tower to fix the motor into place. The motor seems pretty sturdy to me once the screws are in place.
Next, I relocated the rear shock as I want a pretty flat back.
First end result.
Some flex pic.
Battery will be mounted here for the time being. It is just barely touching the upper links when the suspension is aT it's full compression on one side.
That's all for today.
Next update:
Wheelbase adjustment on the fly.
A flatter rear end.
Limiting travel on the rear shocks (they are siting too high).

Re: Front engine MST CMX
Lol, no more time for landy already.
Some updates. Some minor work to the chassis
The land rover body I am planning to use
Needs some more adjustment, but getting there. Engine and ESC in the right place.
Very tight fit.
Batt will most probably be fitted here.
Bonus pics!
I will fit some taller tires on it next time.
Overall quite a nice kit!!
