Re: BabyBoy's Land Rover D110 on Axial SCX10
Some slow update. After several weeks thinking of how to put the D110 together.. here's what I got. Lots of mistake and improvement that I will avoid and implement for my second D110 build.

Re: BabyBoy's Land Rover D110 on Axial SCX10
Update over the weekend
Door
[img][/img]
Need to paint the inside... to hide the inperfection. Should have cut lower.
[img][/img]
Mounting door
[img][/img]
More work to be done... more putty and sanding will be next.
[img][/img]
My cheap tow hook that I will install to the rear... need more sanding to shape it.

Tamiya white putty. Have to apply a few layer cos it keeps sinking in after it dried... Have not sand yet. Hope the putty will hold well, else one turn over my whole Landy crack.

[img][/img]
[img][/img]
[img][/img]
Will apply 2nd layer another day

Thanks laneboysrc. My skill is really not up to it... so hope the roof rack and roll cage will hide all this. . The yellow is deep yellow not like the real sandglow yellow.

I also want to chiong.. but me really rookie. Not much oil to burn. I find it hard to build after sundown... cant really see clearly with artificial light. Your build is inovative!

Thanks. I still need to figure out how to mount the roof rack and role cage. Was wondering if can build the roof rack with styrene. As most D90 complaint top heavy. I still have to mount the spot lights and accessories. Will DIY a shovel and high lift jack and see how it comes out. Tried to buy a winch but looks like all no stock. Went down to sim lim to see if can find a suitable motor with gear to use for winch but came out empty...maybe i did not search hard enuf, so now will try DIY the winch using servo with 3kg torque and see how it goes... everything is still a question for me.

Re: BabyBoy's Land Rover D110 on Axial SCX10
Update:
My lights arrived:
[img][/img]
Almost forgot the wheels:
[img][/img]
After a few hours, my wheel base:
[img][/img]
Rear link
[img][/img]
[img][/img]
Front link
[img][/img]
[img][/img]
Chassis:
[img][/img]
Front and back uses 4 truss. This is so that I do not need to lenghten my drive shaft. The rear still have about 1cm contact. Will work on the hollow aluminium tubes to cover the 3mm treaded rod. More update after my roof rack is done up hopefully this week.

Need to find out how to mount the body up without any screw to the body that can be seen from the outside, thats the best if can. Any suggestion? And where do you guys get your battery from? Looking for NiMh as I have the charger ored. So that I can roll out for test drive while pending other installation like bull bar, winch... that will take time too.

Re: BabyBoy's Land Rover D110 on Axial SCX10
I mount my landy body only using the 3holes at the rear mud flaps... the front is held on using velcro. I have a hinge at the rear.
Cheapest nimh in sg shd be from jethobby, got 2pcs when I started with my honcho last year...
They are still my trusty swimming pals....

Looking awesome and almost done! I really like those rims and the color.
I would recommend painting the light buckets silver on the inside. I did that to ours and it looks so much better than leaving them black. Fiddly job though...
Looking forward to see this truck at a trail soon!
