Hmmmm.. Never actually really purposely throw lipo in water, but there have been a few instances whereby my boat capsized in the middle of the lake at TQ and have to fish it out full of water... But the lipos seems ok after that.. Still able to use as normal.. But must really dry out the water 1st..

Oo... this question has been pondering me sometimes, as my lipos used on my previous highlift only one suffered damaged, and other 2 still ok. All three occassionally partly submerged or fully submerged into water during trails. Now just wondering should I waterproof my CC-01 on the batts bo...
Maybe dun buy those PIG brand like what rpek explained, confirmed cannot swim...maybe can fly neh!

bro, can swim! it's a myth that pigs can't swim...
read this http://www.luciesfarm.com/artman/publish/article_107.php
back to topic... marpek... as far as i know about batteries... lipos are not suitable to run submerged in water unless waterproofed, either by manufacturer or diy...
and lipos are more corrosive and dangerous if not treated properly... unlike nimh...
Re: Lipo and stick packs
i'm not so sure about this.. i've been using only hardcase packs for off-roading. going into water etc didn't really matter to the lipos i was using, so long as i dried them out totally before using them again..

Yes this I agree.. Never leave a wet lipo be to dry on it's own coz the cells will discharge. U'll end up with cells of different voltage rendering it unusable.. May even need to cut open hard case to manually dry it..
So in conclusion, Lipo cannot kena water... And pigs can swim...

Boo, you really go and search whether can swim or not? Keke.....
Lipo can discharge when immerse in water, especially salt water.
Some throw damage lipo in salt water to discharge before throwing away.
Ok ok no more talking here we got muslim friends here.
