Boolean21's Mercedes AMG G63 4x4 truck
Wanted to build a Mercedes G wagon style truck for a long time....
Was so happy to have found a ready made kit available!
Missed all the fun of scratch building.... but saved all the time and effort.... and can keep the time and effort for the next project...
Here's some photos of the truck...
The box....
it looks like the Axial Dingo doesn't it?
Steering wheel and dashboard
Looks like beadlock wheels.... haven't tried though....
Plastic front bumper....
Nice fenders....
Top view of the chassis...
The motor and transmission is parallel to the axles....
nice design... will likely reduce the amount of torque twist i hope...
The two speed gearbox and motor mount
Receiver Box
The Battery tray....
Non adjustable shocks.....
oh yeah.... definitely Made in China...
the 3-link setup....
the axle....
love the axle design... great for 6x6 builds....
just need to connect another drive shaft here to the 3rd axle.... and a 6x6 is borned....
the steering arm.... looks and feels really weak....
comes with stickers, roof lights, tools, 3x pinions, manual, etc...
done up the stickers....
needs some new grill stickers with Mercedes logo though.... this will come in future DIY low cost upgrades...
Done!!

Very nice Merc. Love the axle build which is ready for 6x6. And it really look like the Dingo.

Nice ride! Would be great to see a version with a closed rear cab.
I assume you will provide after-market Mercedes stickers for more realism?

runs ok...
but everything is plastic, including the frame.... flex and twists a lot...
no complaints for its price...
Re: Boolean21's Mercedes AMG G63 4x4 truck
ordered these 3mm and 5mm LEDs.... pre-soldered with resistors and wire... suitable for 5V usage...
did up the AMG G63 4x4 as well after doing up the 6x6...
thanks for looking!

Re: Boolean21's Mercedes AMG G63 4x4 truck
spent some time doing up the roof lights using the same pack of pre-soldered 5V LEDs....
wired up the LEDs....
drilled 2x 1.5mm holes for the wires.....
fits through nicely...
testing out the lights before installing back the windscreen and tidying up the wires....
done!

Re: Boolean21's Mercedes AMG G63 4x4 truck
You drill the holes or it's melt with iron? Very precise.

Hand drilled using a tiny "screw driver" type drill bit bought from Daiso quite some time back.....
Re: Boolean21's Mercedes AMG G63 4x4 truck
this post is cross posted on both the Mercedes AMG G63 4x4 thread http://sgcrawlers.co.nr/t2232-boolean21-s-mercedes-amg-g63-4x4-truck and the Mercedes AMG G63 6x6 thread http://sgcrawlers.co.nr/t2235-boolean21-s-mercedes-amg-g63-g-wagon-6x6-truck
like i mentioned in my first post....
i will get some stickers printed for the front grill of this truck...
and here they are...
Some Brabus stickers...
and the front grills....
decided that the 4x4 will have the front grill with the Mercedes emblem....
and the 6x6 to have the front grill with the Brabus logo....
hope the stickers boosted some horse power on these trucks...
thanks for looking!

How did you make the grill? I'm looking to buy this rc and would like the Mercedes emblem on it as well.

I just Googled for the photos and sized it to scale and printed it as a sticker.
