boolean21 wrote:some updates on my Axial EXO build....
was thinking of the color scheme of the axial exo... when "Axial EXO Wrap" came to my mind...
hence....
tried to whip up something on the computer....
love the ken block livery very much.... so adapted a little over to the axial exo wrap....
printed and cut the stickers....
wrapped the side panel.....
with the air vent grill installed....
wrapped the other side panel....
followed by the smaller piece of side panel... and the 2x small rear panels
here's the hood/ bonnet wrapped....
and finally ..... wrapped the roof....
this is all the updates for the past few nights...
thanks for looking!

Re: Boolean21's Axial EXO Terra Buggy
Some updates on the Axial EXO Build....
Thanks to bro LaneBoysRC for sponsoring the tail lights lens... and the translucent red spray...
Trimmed out the interior panel and test fitted....
test fitted again after drilling the holes for the tube cage....
took these photos so that in future, if i decide to drill some vent holes... i will remember where to drill....
hobbyking pilot which i bought to "drive" my boat.... test fitted on the interior...
fitted nicely.... but attire seems not right...
sprayed the interiors.... the rear interior panel was sprayed 2-tones.... silver for the engine area and black for everything outside the engine area...
sprayed the dash bright red.... should have also sprayed the cabin interiors RED too... black seems too plain....
pasted the stock stickers that came with the kit....
mounted the dash onto the cabin interior....
then installed the interiors to the tube cage....
installed the rest of the body panels onto the cage... and here's how it looks with the custom printed skin for the axial exo...
heard lots of bad reviews, complaints and nightmares about the battery compartment....
so.... after installing the cage onto the chassis...
i took a slightly bloated 4000mah 2S lipo to test it out...
maybe due to the fact that i had heard and read a lot of the nightmares of changing the batteries....
i feel that it is not too bad actually.... maybe because i had imagined it to the much more difficult....
mounted the wheels and tyres (yet to glue them though...) and here's some shots of the Completed (almost) Axial EXO...
thanks for looking!
keep RC-ing!!!

Re: Boolean21's Axial EXO Terra Buggy
some updates on the EXO Terra Buggy....
broke the battery clip some time back.... quite quite some time back.... maybe a year or two ago....
all because of my clumsy hands...
glad that i do not need to remove all the bolts under the chassis (i think 16 of them) to complete this replacement... phew!
ordered this from Amain, with nice and cheap shipping!
replaced the clip....
and now the Axial EXO Buggy is ready to hit the dirt as well!
