[SEMI TRUCK VIDEO] Tamiya 1/14 Scania R620 Semi Truck with SLU Sound and Light Unit controlled using FlySky GT3B
Tamiya 1/14 Scania R620 Semi Truck with SLU Sound and Light Unit controlled using FlySky GT3B
Here's a demo of using the "hacked" GT3B (custom firmware by PSX) to control the Scania R620 installed with SLU sound and light unit.
Some info, the GT3B is setup to control 4 channels in this semi-truck.
Channel 1: Steering - steering knob
Channel 2: Throttle - throttle trigger
Channel 3: Function Mode select - assigned to Dual Rate switch on the GT3B, setup as a 5 position switch ( -100, -50, 0, 50, 100)
Channel 4: Function activate - assigned to 3rd Channel Trim switch on the GT3B, setup as a 3 position switch
Summary of the controls
------------------------------------
Channel 3 is used to select the function mode, and channel 4 is used to turn on/ off the function.
When Channel 3 @ 0 position
- Channel 4 right switch will start / stop engine
- Channel 4 left switch will turn on/ off driving lights and headlights
When Channel 3 @ 50 position
- Channel 4 right switch will turn on/ off hazard lights
- Channel 4 left switch will turn on/ off fog lights and roof lights
When Channel 3 @ 100 position
- Channel 4 right switch will "up" gear
- Channel 4 right switch will "down" gear
Gear position is indicated by the white flashing LED
Gear 1: White LED flashes slowly
Gear 2: White LED flashes fast
Gear 3: White LED permanently ON
Neutral Gear: White LED turns OFF
When Channel 3 @ -50 position
- activates the rear hatch latch/ unlatch function, not shown in this video.
When Channel 3 @ -100 position
- When engine is not running - Channel 4 right switch will simulate engine failure to start
- When engine is running - Channel 4 right switch will turn on/ off sirens
- Channel 4 left switch will turn on the air horn
Hopefully this summarizes the features of the SLU functionalities and how simple it is to set it up and control via a GT3B.
Will have more running videos of the Semi-truck with the rest of the semi truckers in the group soon!
Thanks for watching!
