Tamiya 1/14 Scania R620 Semi Truck - Budget Sound Module and Light Unit

Restored the R620 few months back, added some LEDs and installed the Alan Bond's Diesel sound module.
Not fantastic at all compared to Tamiya's Multi Function Unit and the China's SLU...
But good enough for something that sits on the shelf most of the time. Very Happy

Details:
Sound Unit - Alan Bond's Diesel Engine Sound Module (available at Technobots Online)
Remote Light Switch - Multi Remote Controlled Switch (7channel) (Available from HobbyKing)

Great! Looks like it is working very well. The sound is not terrible at all.

So what exactly do those units do better? What would you like to see improved? <just asking to gather learning for my DIY sound unit...>

What I have in mind is to get a mp3 or wav shield and read data off sdcard...
that would make the audio more realistic... Musical horns are definitely a must in the sdcard... Very Happy

All these would mean more midnight oil.... Very Happy
U triggerred the other hobby in me... But I would foresee that your PIC version would be coming very quickly... Very Happy definitely much earlier than my avr one if I really embark in it... Very Happy
