So you all playing modern or WW2 era? Technically speaking....onli the WW2 tanks actually met each other in real battle. So there is a sense of historical eventful encounter when battling them. And you can put tons of tank riders, pails, wires, ammo boxes, extra armour plates like how they were done during WW2.

Re: Marpek's HL Leopard 2a6
Quite true... modern tank warfare only happens in the east or middle east mostly, but just lack of the models to choose from, eg. Walker bulldog, the Super Sherman or T55's around in the market if im correct. If Tam or HL can come out with the M48, M60, M1, Challanger and T62 or 72 will be awesome, but nothing beats the Merkava...Then we will have Vietnam war or the Middle East war to game with. There's just too much ww2 era tanks now.Sabretooth_aw wrote:So you all playing modern or WW2 era? Technically speaking....onli the WW2 tanks actually met each other in real battle. got written off... and should be used for destruction derby - tankie style!
Re: Marpek's HL Leopard 2a6
HL gt a china tank..ztz99. tats about it... bulldog belongs to the vietnam war and super sherman is old tech liao. Think Tam super lazy go use their sherman platform to do super sherman. But there are the russian! Still WW2. Usually when we play, we usually move away when the tam leopards come. They too much advantages...

Re: Marpek's HL Leopard 2a6
Some little progress...
With the help of commandant Boo getting the hardwares for ir system, managed to find time to do the little conversion..
Huge turret!
IR Led route...
Some fresh nato green pain to camo the wires and straw...
Now comes the IR reciever. Plan is to mount it into the tank comander's cupola which will need drilling of 3 pin connectors exit slot and 2 holes for the recicver locating pins...
Finished product!
It sits pretty low currently, and commandant Boo accuses me cheating!

Next up... weathering!
Always dun feel good with scale military vehicles having fresh clean paint without some form of dirt on them.
I skip the washed and rust proccess coz didnt want to make it too dirty this time ( im lazy actually, tank is huge! ). I just used enamel earth tones and with a little silver here and there to make it have that dusts metal look...

Ready to roll...
