Neo Charging your Brushed Motors, for more Torque or speed.
Neo Charging your Brushed Motors, for more Torque or speed.
Has anyone toyed with the idea of changing the RPM/Torque of your Cans by attaching Neo magnets externally ?
If you have a fast motor and you want to make it faster, or a torque-y motor even torque-ier, a few Neodymium magnets will do the trick.
To increase or prioritize KV - Place magnets on the side of the can using an orientation with the repelling force
To increase or prioritize Torque, which obviously resulting to a reduction in KV - Place magnets on the side of the
can using an orientation with an attracting force
This video shows current draw when increasing RPM
This video shows how the magnet orientation affects the RPM.
It also gives me an idea for "Gear shifting" for more torque or speed with a magnet attached to a servo.
