wats e most ideal motor set up for scx-10?

if i use 55t motor, wat pinion gear size should i use?
if i use 80t motor, can i use e same size?

Personally, I like it at 27t, got s little wheel speed when required... 55t would be way too slow for trails... I think eatdirt running 55t with bigger pinion, can't remember how many teeth...

Yep, my favourite all round motor is also the famous slivercan 27 turn motor.
I play around with gear ratio rather then motor because motor are expensive especially
when you mud trail. Mud will get into those open endbell motor and wear off those carbon
brush in no time.

Thx bros.. Currently i haf axial 55t motor n rc4wd 80t motor. Wil be using either 1 for my upcoming build. I haf stock tamiya 16t n 17t pinion gears. So i need ur expertise on which set up to use.

I dun mind having it slow as long as e bloody dingo can crawl! Haha.
My wraith is getting slower over time. Dun knw y.

ur wraith is getting slower probably because the motor brushes are wearing out. u can try putting your motor in a cup of water and set your epa to about 10% whilst the motor is immersed in the water. let it run a while(for about 2-3 mins, then u'll see the water turn black), then take it out and apply some wd40 to the carbon brushes. ur motor should run better after that.

Wow is matted I don't know ppl still use is was use very long a go to run in brush motor

i need help.
i was assembling my dingo kit n i realized tat e front dog bone axles were short.
when i put e parts together, e differential locker moves but e dog bones didn't.
been watching build videos on youtube over n over again.. anyone faced tis problem?
