Boolean21's Scania R620 - Restore...

Bought a used Scania R620 from the bros...
Always wanted to drive a container truck when i was young... now i can drive a 1/14 truck to fulfill my childhood dream...

here's the original pics...


After many hands... it landed in my hands..

First time handling a Semi Truck... and also first time trying to "restore" a truck...
Had the truck for a few weeks already... and finally, managed to complete the works....

Took a few photos along the way...
so here it goes...

Striped out the cabin parts.... grills, etc...


First day of rough sanding and filling up some holes...
can see that this scania had really been through many different hands and sprayed with many different colors!


more wet sanding with 500grit sand paper...


sprayed the parts with primer and paint...


printed some stickers for the scania...


before the assembly....


completed the assembly.... near completion of the project...


i've based my scania r620 on this theme... hope my little r620 don't look too bad..




thats all for now... finally can see the scania in one piece again...
glad i managed to complete it... it was really hard work for a newbie like me!!

Can really see your hardwork as the cab had gone thru 3 different color coats previously...bet your fingers are tired after all the sanding sia!

Newbie's paint job... with guidance from u guys...
The fine sanding took few hours.... The day after sanding, whole body ache! Maybe cos sit in the same position too long... more tiring than trails....

Added the fairings, sun visor, steps....

the color of the spoiler and fairings seems too white... like dont match the cab very well hor... should i spray it to orange red instead or too heavy for top liao? hmmm...

see how... i think this will remain like this for now...
