Help!!! Electronics ??? For 1-10 crawler

Hi I need some info about electronic parts?
Plan to buy Axial Wraith Kit but don't know what Electronic to get :-

1) Prefer brushless system.(ESC with water proof+Motor)
Where to buy? budget around $200-$250
2) Servo with water proof.
Where to buy? budget around $50-$70
3) Transmitter & Receiver.
Where to buy? budget around $250-$300
(Swan hobby auntie Winne recommend me Futaba 4PL)
4) Charger & Li-Po batt 5000mAh.
Where to buy?
a)budget for charger around $90
b)budget for bettery around $60,
if using 5000mAh batt what's the running time?

1 - not many waterproof brushless esc around. 1 of them is traxxas's velineon vxl-3s esc. it can support 540-size sensored and sensorless brushless motors. sensorless are ok with water, just need regular oiling, but sensored motors can't touch water, the pcb board(even with waterproof coating sprayed on) will fry. personally i'm using a sensored motor setup with a 1/8 hobbywing 80A esc.

2 - water proof servo can get fitec's FS5621M servo. 21kg waterproof.

3 - depends on what system u wanna get, and how many channel. 4PL is 1 of the most recommended as it has 4WS mixing and a 4th channel for anything else.
3PL is another recommended system with 3 channels. has 4WS mixing as well. should be more suited for your budget as its below S$200 from Singapore Hobby Supplies.

4 - charger can get from hobbyking.com.. quick shipping and prices are cheap..

5000mah can run for quite some time.. i'm using 4000mah and can run for about 45 mins..

takes between 10-14 days to arrive, payment upon collection. i'm using the same servo for my Wraith kit.

Hi qks57 when u build ur wraith the kit come with the spur n pinion gear do they match the ESC + BL motor that u r using are the gear ratio correct can match or need to replace the spur n pinion gear that's match the Brushless system? If need to replace what r the best setting n where can I get the spur gear from?

the velineon vxl-3s only available from online. sensored motor is separate, as the vxl-3s combo comes with a sensorless motor. esc is available separate, if bid from ebay usually about S$130+ for the esc. motor can get for about S$50, mine's from a friend ex-shop so its cheap. the hobbywing esc can get from winnie. not sure of the price as i didn't buy mine from her.

i built my wraith with 32 pitch gears. i did not use the stock spur/pinion.all i do is to match the original gear ratio of 1:4, and run different gears. 32 pitch gears tend to be more durable and more resistant against small stones as the gear teeth are bigger than 48 pitch gears. i got my spur and pinions all from online. 48p pinions are easily available from winnie or tai sing. as for spur wise, its not so easy to find as need to find spurs that have the holes for the spur gear adaptor to screw on.

Hi today I make a trip down to a few LHS to get some info of parts most of them advice me to buy online !!! :-( I got a felling that crawler parts in LHS don't carry much of the items !!!
Why like that ??? :-@
I also visited the track a Segar Rd below the High Way nice place :-)
Ok come back to the main topic found out some items
1) LRP brush ESC 100% water proof price $100 n brush motor with 27t $30.
2) Hobbywing BL combo system with sensor motor 13.5t price $160.

So which one should I buy brush or brushless ?
I will be using the stock spur gear (as mention from YouTube the teeth of the spur gear are 82) if I choose LRP brush system what pitch pinion I should get? or
If I choose Hobbywing BL system what pitch pinion I should get? cos don't know much on gear ratio :-/
Can someones advice me witch web side carry spare parts for Axial Wraith ?

My old friend, no need to have super electronics for crawling. Anyway we are doing simple trailing , river and mud crossing. You also dun wan your $$$$ electronics to be damage by the water.
If you want bashing using the wraith then you have to hop-up a lot of things. I recomand using short course truck or similiar for bashing.
You need waterproof electronics , just DIY using neutral cure silicon to cover up the PCB in the esc , servo and rx. Simple , cheap ,effective, tested and aprroved by SGCRAWLERS.
Remember your super hop-up TT-01? Wat happens to your TX and RX? You sold all of them again?

You should have get the RTR since you dun have any electronics. So far the stock electronics is more than enuff for trailing.

Sensored motors, you need to silicone the pcb...
For crawling, brushed setups are still better....
