Rizal's D90 Defender build.

Greetings,

This here is my D90. Bought it from Rcmart. The hardbody is from Xtra Speed, cost me only SGD$60.











Here is the paint I bought at stargek.

Planning to go light blue on this D90.

First thing first, it's time to apply primer coating on the D90...

Primer done. On the outside.





Once the outside primer is dried up. I'll start applying primer on the inside.



Wanted to paint this parts black. But I need to sand off unwanted material off these parts.



Time to start spray painting.







Now to masking the D90.



Masking for the hardtop completed.



I'll start with the hardtop first.

Now it is time to spray paint the side fenders.

Since I have enough spare time on my hands right now, why not I begin spray paint the inner portion of the D90. which is the hardtop and the side fenders.

Nice. More Landies, more landies. Looking forward for more update.

Hardtop and side fenders painted black. But I can still see portion of black paint on the body despite masking it entirely. No matter, because i'll be painting it light blue eventually. Hopefully can cover up the leftover paint on the body.



Masking done. Can't wait for spray paint. The time has come.



Looking forward for this paintjob for the D90 for quite some time now. Been thinking about in my head for so long. Now for the moment of truth..... Let's give this defender a whole new personality... Let's do this!!





I can really see the after effect of the paint. Really striking colour if I do say so myself. Can feel it resonating within. As for the front windscreen, my other half wanted it light blue....but my another half wanted to black....so there's been a conflict between myself....so ended up with black. XD

Nice color scheme.

The interior is now painted blue after masking the inner fenders and hardtop is done.





It looks like everything is going according to my expectations.

Now for the clear coat. I'm using TS 79 (Semi Gloss Clear).



Planning to go for light blue for the interior,but i'll leave it for some other day. Will keep everybody updated....



This is the job that i've decided to do tonight. Got this at stargek last week. I wanted to do some detailing work done on my D90 so they recommend me this. But they advise me to apply a clear coat finish before attempting to use this. (In which i have done so). I've applied the clear coat finish already.  So let's begin....





Done the left and rear of the D90. Oh well, not the best detailed work i've done thus far, although this is my 1st time doing this. But i'm pretty much satisfied at the moment. At least the details is there rather then nothing at all...

Will continue with the rest soon...stay tuned...

And one more thing.... I've already ordered the gelande2 D90 kit. Hopefully will arrives on the 3rd week of january. Will keep my fingers cross... Hehe
