[Evildrporkchop] Axial SCX10 Landrover Defender 90 Build Thread

Ok, so i've got my new shell and need to get it onto my SCX10. Thought i'd do a build thread as it turns out that you cannot just simply drop this shell directly on the chassis without modification.

I'll add some images in due course but the short term items that need to be completed are:

- remove my dead esc/motor combo
- strip chassis down to what i'll need to keep for the build
- shorten wheelbase by around 40mm (exact dims will be added in the thread)
- trim chassis rails to fit within shell length[left]

Ok, so it's taken a bit longer than I planned and have not had time to add details. Will do that after CNY when things have calmed down.

Good news is that I'm almost there. Chassis is just pending installation of esc and receiver. Shell is in the body shop for painting and just needs the exterior bling added.

I've gone for a G4 Expedition paint job with black wheels. Pics to follow.

Unless I hit a real snag, should be on the next trail )

So much for the G 4 look - paint bled around the arches so it's now a nice gloss black

Should have enough time to bling the body and add the ESC tomorrow ready for the next trail
