Gmade R1 Axles build
almost forgot i've got a set of gmade r1 axles on hand...
finally, found some time today to build up the portal axles...
advantages of portal axles? the pumpkin is offset higher and it gives more clearance under the pumpkin...
well.. but for the monsterous terrains that we run our trucks... there's never enough clearance!! hahaha!!
planning to run these axles on my ax10 tuber... it had been lying upside down on it's roof for a few months already.... cos i used its axles on my landy..
here's some photos...
the axle housings are all plastic...
all non-hex bolts... all are phillip heads...
the gears look quite tough...
full ball bearings as usual...
and most importantly.... i marine greased the portal gears and stuffs before bolting up the axle...
finished building the axles except for the front knuckle arms...
overall, quality wise, not bad... everything fits nicely... except... i would prefer hex hardwares... and i love the metal pumpkin cover...

Measured the axles for bro ironman...
Hex to hex is around 22cm... Axial axles are around 19cm hex to hex...
So bro ironman... This axles might be a little wider than axial ones for your landy build...
