U mean the U joint? Bought it from ebay, sgd 12 per piece. Rod is 4mm in thickness.boolean21 wrote:yo bro...
where did you buy this?
the "yoke to yoke" adapter? is it a 5mm rod that you use to link up from the motor to the pinion?
thanks

Thanks!!!!
Some update.
I re-draw a proper land rover Series 2 front view, and a series 3 back view.
Learn that building from Pics is not as accurate as building from blueprint.
Made the roof today.
Side view
internal view
Yes I know they are too long. I will do the cutting and trimming later.
Made the hood too!
front shot
top shot
side angle shot.
dont worry about all the rough edges and improper fit, they will be sorted out later
Made new left and right window panels too. the old ones are short of 4mm.
Not sure if I should make open-able doors? The curves are hard to cut. Most probably
need to laser cut, what are your opinions?

nah its done by machine. 1mm thick aluminum is bendable but 2mm aluminum requires machine to do the job.

I see I see... Was about to ask u post photos of the jig...
Thought you carved a male and a female mold and clamp the aluminium between the molds to form the parts...

Rig is not ready la still need to make a new chassis. . need to make sure everything is finished properly then weld together then its counted as complete.
you will need a sheet metal brake press. you can DIY by using L shape brackets and a mini hydraulic jack.

Thanks! haha my hobby? nah, its a nice set of skill to have but not something I would want to do in my free time.
anyway some updates.
Picked up some 1 inch by 1 inch square rod and started working on the chassis
Bend and cut into half, and join together by nuts and some threaded screw
got some L brackets and more work on the chassis
currently like this, still got more work to do.
Thanks for reading!!!
